Leigh has 12 years of experience teaching middle school in both Richland 1 and Richland 2.  She has spent the last 5 years teaching grades 6-8 science in the Montessori Middle Program at W.G. Sanders Middle School.

Leigh believes in meeting students where they are at and empowering them to be successful by fostering their independence.  As a middle level science teacher, she encourages students to explore their natural curiosity about the world around them and to express themselves creatively.

Leigh holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina, a Masters of Science Education from Walden University, and has her Secondary I- II Credential from the American Montessori Society.  Leigh is also a certified Middle Level Science Teacher and AMS Certified (Secondary I- II)
